Thank you for visiting our branch of the Maloney Family on the World Wide Web.

We are the descendants of Lewis Sydney Maloney (who was born in Barachois, Quebec, on June 20, 1889; and who died in Toronto, Ontario, on August 3, 1936) and his wife Winifred McKinney (who was born in Pabos [Chandler], Quebec, on January 28, 1885; and who died in Toronto, Ontario, on December 10, 1930).

Even though we have traced our ancestry back to William Maloney who was born in Ireland (possibly in Ardnacrusha, County Clare) and who settled in the Gaspé in the early 1780s, we have lost contact with many of our aunts, uncles, and cousins in the other branches of the family.

We have established the "Maloney Family Association of Canada / Association de la Famille Maloney au Canada", a not-for-profit Canadian Corporation, which has the following objectives:

Organize Maloney family reunions

Promote the development and maintenance of Maloney family genealogical records

Foster communication and contact between Maloney family members, including publication of newsletters and establishment and maintenance of a Maloney family web site
